The AS5300 doesn't have any ATM interfaces. Are you trying to do VoATM or VoIP over ATM?

i am trying to make voip over atm,
the diagram is following
PSTN----AS5300---(ROUTER)---E1---ATM
i don't know the router is necessary?
please tell me ,thank you

Is this going to be IMA? Multiple E1s into the ATM cloud? If so you can use the NM-4E1-IMA or NM-8E1-IMA in a 2600 or 3600 series router. Even if you are only going to use a single E1 you can still use this module.

thank you David:
i am trying to do the following,
1 PSTN----AS5300---(ROUTER)---E1---ATM
or
2 PSTN----AS5300---E1------ATM
maybe the digram2 reduce the cost, if 2 is feasible
which modules does the as5300 select? could you please tell me ?

The AS5300 does not have any E1 ATM interfaces. The only WAN type interfaces available are Serial cards.
What about using a 3640 instead. The 3640 can terminate E1 PRI from the PSTN for voice and also you can use the NM-4E1-IMA card I mentioned previously, all in one box. As far as which specific modules you need, just talk with your sales engineer and tell them what you want to do, they should be able to help you.

but i have another question, what modules in 2620 for
connecting the AS5300? JUST EHT?

Yes the connectivity between the AS5300 and the 2620 would just be ethernet.

Someone suggests use this solution,
--------PSTN--------
|
PBX---3640(WITH IMA)----E1---ATM.
but i have questions:
1) which modules on 3640 for connecting PBX?
2) which modules on 3640 for connecting PSTN?
Can you tell me ?thank you very much
