I/O interfaces for VoIP ?

Does anybody know if there are any known softw & hardw products that can supply an physical I/O interface for a Callmanager environment ?

We need this for linking Alarms to IP-phones (if alarm switch triggered text or spoken message to group of IP-phones).

Also , if IP-phone user dials certain numbers, they should be able to "reset" the alarm.

The only thing I can even think of is the SMDI serial interface for messaging. But, your alarm system would need to be compatible with it, which I highly doubt.
