I just wondering if anyone knows what the expected outcome would be for the following test on an ICM 5.0 system..
If I run status on RTTEST to see which side is active as indicated by the Router synch line ie. (A->B). I then pull the Visible cable from the Active side (Private link between Roggers is still up). On the PG's, pgagent shows the following:
16:35:03 pg1A-pgag Connection to Central Controller side A failed (high priority).
Last EMT Error [64]: EnterpriseAgent PIM
16:35:03 pg1A-pgag Path to Central Controller side A disconnected.
16:35:03 pg1A-pgag Attempting to realign message stream with Central Controller side B.
16:35:03 pg1A-pgag Path to Central Controller side B is now active after successful realignment
The question is if I run status on RTTEST, should the Router Sync line reflect that the other server is active ie (B->A)

The question that I am trying to ask is, on the failure of the Visible NIC on a Router/Rogger, would one expect to see a state change to occur to the inactive side?

Thanks Inder. For the record Visible NIC/ network failures on routers do not cause state transfer.
