ICM and CCM in IPCC

I want to know the impact of the call routing for following failure situation of ICM and CCM.

1) ICM fail but CCM still alive

2) ICM alive but CCM fail

It would be great to share with us if you has the above experience.

Victor Loo

Re: ICM and CCM in IPCC

Victor,

Several factors come into play for this scenario and a little clarification is necessary.

1) Is this a single site or multi site ICM environment? If this is a multisite environment, if the CCM fails calls will be routed around the site.

2) What type of redundancy options have been designed into the system? Ex. Are their duplex PG's for the Call Managers' etc.

Both of these scenarios have a major impact on the systems failover behavior.

Re: ICM and CCM in IPCC

Hi Tom,

Thank you for your response. I know the failover situation when there is redundancy CCM and ICM. I want to find out the failure scenario. Here are my assumption.

1) It is a single site environment.

2) There is only one CCM and one ICM in the configuration.

I want to know the behaviour of IPCC

a) when ICM fails but CCM still alive

b) when ICM still alive but CCM fails

As there are a lot of scenarios, if you have any idea, please let me know.

Many thanks,

Re: ICM and CCM in IPCC

1) CTI Route Points will ring busy/fast busy unless you have "FWD on Failure" destinations setup in CCM

2) Without CCM ICM will not do much since it depends on DCDirectory, CTI Points, Ports and Agent configuration.
