ICS 7750 - Views/HSRP?

The ICS7750 is available over here in Europe now. I'd like to know what our american cousins think about it as you've had it for a while now.

I'd like to hear from people who have used it and how many IP phones you've had running on it.

The one problem I have, is that in a small(ish) network, say 100 phones the ICS7750 is the core of the network doing the routing. This worries me as it only has two 100mb Ethernet ports for links up to 3524's etc. I see this as a bottleneck so.... how about this, what if I used a 3550 as the core switch as it has Layer 3 routing ablilty. What I'd ideally like to do is have the 3550 as the main switch/router and the ICS7750 as the secondary router using HSRP, does anyone know if this is possible?

TIA

Gary

- We have now installed several of the ICS7750 (G2)'s successfully.

My issues are minor:

* The ICS version of Network Registrar should be as powerful as

using a MS or Unix DHCP service.

* That 802.1q / ISL trunking be supported through the SSP to the MRPs.

Be prepared to get a 1760-V or 2600 to route unless you want a private

(unrouted) or unified (data and voice on same VLAN) voice VLAN design.

* That the ICS version of Unity support Exchange 5.5. As an island system,

setting up a private Active Directory is fine (Exchange 2000 needs AD),

but we are seeing that most of our customers want us to be intelligent

about AD setup for future scalability / integration. Having the option of

Exchange 5.5 would avoid this issue.

* That versions of other IPT software, such as CER be certified for use

on a SPE310. Though this may not be a issue for you, in some of the

states we need to have e911 depending on the type of site. It seems

odd to sell a ICS with a 7825/7825 for CER. . .

...has been addressed with the release of the MRP300:
