We have several Unity 4.0.3 servers running with off box Exchange 5.5. Is it possible to have ISM work for messages across different Unity servers ?
All Exchange servers reside in the same site.
Currently, only messages left by accounts on the same Unity box will show the actual senders name. All others have "Message from XXXXX" in the subject field. [ XXXXX being the sender's extension ]

You can enable ISM between Unity server but they must all be in the same dialing domain. The Digital Networking guide has information on how to enable it:

Using 'ISM' in the context where we're talking about a forwarded call being identified as being from a subscriber, if the Unity servers are accessing the same 5.5 directory and they're in a dialing domain, ISM should be working as of 4.0(3).
See the Cisco Unity Networking guide for steps to expand the dialing domain (auto attendant) to the org level if your Unity servers are in different sites. http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/voice/c_unity/unity40/net/net403/ex/net_0200.htm#1323764
