Hi, im trying to develop an idle URL app such an ScreenSaver for a 7960/7940 telephone,

this app displays 3 images with a refresh of 8 seconds each. The first image displays, then

the phone throws an http error[8]! and i can’t solve it yet.

This http error appears only the first time the application is loaded(everytime the phone gets reset or restarted), then it works fine.

Does anyone can help me? Thanks

Not sure why that would be happening. error 8 is described as:

HTTP Error[8] = Unknown HTTP Error

in the SDK.

Check the refresh setting for your web page, and ensure that you're using a valid URL to refresh to (i.e. http://www.cisco.com), and if you're passing any parameters make sure they're properly escaped (ie use & in place of the & character).

Trying the web service in a browser often helps identify problems by viewing the raw xml output that is sent to the phone.. that may lead to a solution as well.

Look to the IP Phone Services SDK on the Cisco Developer Services Website for more information on using the IDLE URL XML objects. First thing to check is that you are using the modt up-to-dat version of the IP Phone load available from CCO.
