Hi we are implementing a new CUCM platform version 10.0.1.10000-24, integrated with a IM & Presence server version 10.0.1.10000-26.
Our client got 123 Basic 10.x UCL ( for 123x7821 IpPhones users) and 52 Enhanced 10.x UCL (for 52x7841 IpPhones users), and our Presence solution will provide ONLY IM and Presense service.
We have followed procedure from "Configuration and Administration of IM and Presence Service on Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Release 10.0(1)" document to configure ONLY IM and Presense service, so we have configured a pair of users for testing.
Following instructions on Cisco Jabber for Windows 9.7 Server Setup Guide we properly configured Jabber client ver 9.7.2 for each Presence-enabled user.
From Presence server we see all assigned users.
As we will not have video, audio or voicemail capabilities ( ONLY IM and Presense service) we haven't configured CSF devices (Client Service Framework), but once we properly authenticate the user with Jabber client we got the following:
a) We are unable to see availability of other users
b) We are unable to start a chat to other users.
c) When we try to add a user to our contacts we got an error ( see "Jabber error.jpg").
d) When we see Jabber client status we got not connection to LDAP. ( see "Jabber status.jpg")
Do you know what is still missing on this configuration??
The short answer is that you don't.... That isn't entirely true while at
the same time it kind of is, but for the most part you don't configure
the softkeys. You enable or disable them via TCL. Here is the long
answer. Be sure to read the whole thing or e...
