Integration - Dual Switch - NEC/Cisco and remote

Guys...please help.

Scenario for proposed Unity with Serial and Cisco integration

City PABX
Seattle NEC w/Serial
Seattle (additional site) CISCO
Boston Nortel

Seattle sites have voice connectivity, but no voice channels between Seattle and Boston.
Data network exists between all sites.

Unity will connect to both Seattle sites – no prob’s.
In order to facilitate voice mail for Boston, client proposes to establish voice channels through a voice gateway. One in Boston and one in Seattle.

Q1:
To get “call forward to personal greeting from Boston end”, we forward the extension to the gateway, which comes across the data network to Seattle.
Do we (a) then have the call terminated on a “virtual extension” on the NEC PABX which is call forwarded immediate to voice mail or (b) will it go straight through the Cisco into Unity or (c) none of the above.

Q2:
What sort of things do I need to make the client aware of. What additional componentry on the clients side do they need to consider?

Q3:
What limitation can we expect to see on either side for Unity subscribers.

Re: Integration - Dual Switch - NEC/Cisco and remote

I dragged a couple of folks in to look over your post just to be sure... we're all a little unclear on exactly what you're trying to do.

Perhaps you could lay out your topology a little more clearly and walk through some example flows you want to be able to support.
