Re: Intercluster-trunk bandwidth requirements

Chris,

Since its intercluster, it truly depends upon how many calls you send across the trunk. You can send calls at g729 or g711, and signalling used will be h323. You can use a gatekeeper in this scenario to control how many calls are send across the trunk, before which it will re-route calls via PSTN (CAC).

What is your thoughts on the clusters being MGCP? Do you see problems down the road, i.e., expansion, not being h.323?

Re: Intercluster-trunk bandwidth requirements

Intercluster trunks are always h323. They can be configured with or without GKs. See this link.

Re: Intercluster-trunk bandwidth requirements

I know that the trunks are always h323, I just didn't know if it was preferred for the clusters to be MGCP or h.323...
