Interfacing CCM with analog "tie" line

How do we interface analog "tie" lines provided by a service provider to 28xx voice gateway ( in CCM environment)?

Note: "tie" line means service provider has given two customers ( A and B), sooner customer A lift the phone, phone will ring at customer B. Dialing is NOT required.

With the new setup , customer A is migrating to CCM and custoemr A remanins with analog.

Re: Interfacing CCM with analog "tie" line

I am guessing that you are wanting you use a "hot line" type functionality which is traditionally called private line automatic ring-down (PLAR). Here is a TID that explains how to configure it on the CCM side:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/products/sw/voicesw/ps556/products_configuration_example09186a0080232b9f.shtml

As far as physical connectivity to telco you are going to have to determine what type of line and what type of equipment you are using on the far side to determine what type of interface you will require in your 28xx but it will probably be an FXO.

Hopefully this helps,

Jason
