Intermittent busy tone after Upgrade to 4.1(3)sr3c
We upgraded from 4.1(3)sr3a to 4.1(3)sr3c last night and everything seemed ok. This morning, when we try to make an outbound call from an IP phone, we were getting a busy tone. The call was established one time out of four. But suddenly, we can't reproduce the problem anymore and all the calls are establish without a glitch! What happened ? Did that situation happened to someone or do you have any idea of what caused that ?

This is just a guess of course.
This sure sounds like a problem with one or more of your Gateways. I'm not sure what you are using, but probably E1,T1 or PRI.Did you check the event logs to see if any of the above re-registered or were going up/down after the changes.If not all outgoing calls were failing as you described, then this was only a partial failure and once all the (E1,T1 or PRI's) were reestablished things went back to normal.This seems quite likely.

The below trick might come handy when you have to add a new node to a cluster but you don't have or is unsure of the security password for the publisher. This procedure has been around for ages.
1) Login into the CLI of the Publisher.
