3.13 VM only system. Very weird issue encountered where some msgs are not able to be retrieved. On some new messages, when users Press 1 to hear "New messages", they will hear "end of new msg" immediately. The new message is still stuck in their inbox and for some reason they just can't pick the messages up (nor be able to remove them). This symptom only happens ramdomly. Administrator will have to go in via OUtlook to retrieve those messages for users. (still trying to pinpoint the type of messages that cause this to occur)

Systems Engineer
If the messages are properly formed (i.e. you can get them in Outlook and everything looks good) the mostly likely thing that happens now and again is the time stamps on the home Exchange server the message was delivered to is ahead of the time on the Unity server so Unity considers the message in the future... the message filters still pick up the message but the inbox conversation will skip it in the list.
If that's not the case it'd be interesting to take a look at a specific message causing this... check the message class and voice attachment in particular.
Poking around on another site with this same issue, turns out this is a problem on some systems with the priority flag being set to blank... for some reason the conversation is not liking that. Normally messages should never have a blank priority flag but even if they do the conversations really shouldn't care. If you move a message in Outlook to a different folder and then back to the inbox this flag will actually get filled in (at least it did on the system the TAC folks here were working on today).
There is a hot fix for this available and it should also be rolled into the upcoming 3.1(4) release.
