Internaional call drops

CallManager 3.3(3)Sr2 with a MGCP PRI MRP2

IP Phones could make local and NALD calls, but failed to make international calls. It is not related with T310 timeout as the T310 is configured as 60000ms.

It looks the CallManager disconnected calls after received a Call Progress with "Cause i = 0x829F - Normal, unspecified" as following, I think it was a carrier's issue but I couldn't find what the Cause "0x829F" exactly means.

Re: Internaional call drops

Hi,

Try to set the CallManager Service Parameter "Disable Alerting Progress Indicator" to True....

We had some issues with this, we had to disable this progressindicator from our telco.....

hope this helps

Re: Internaional call drops

I'm glad you appear to be trying to call the AsiaPAC TAC ...

My suspicion is that the called number has a leading 011 as the international access code , but the numbering type is also set as international -

Called Party Number i = 0x91, '01161284466000' Plan:ISDN, Type:International

Since the numbering type tells the exchange that the called number is an international number, the exchange will be trying to use a country code of 011, which is not correct.

To confirm this, set up the CM to strip off the leading 011 access code, so the called number that hits the ISDN has just the 6128446000 number.

The other option is to change the called numbering plan and type IE on the gateway config from CallManager/CallManager to unknown/unknown. This will then make the local exchange analyse the called number, so it sees the 011 and directs the call to the international gateway and the gateway then looks at the country code correctly.

Re: Internaional call drops

It works after changed the called numbering plan and type IE on the gateway config from CallManager to unknown/unknown.

Thank you so much.
