having issue with international dialing from a cme:
Called Party Number i = 0xA1, '01161396694916'
carrier is expecting the called party type to be international. so I set a translation:
voice translation-rule 10
rule 1 // // type national unknown
voice translation-profile internat
translate called 1
and applied it to my dial-peer (actually, as you can see i have thrown the kitchen sink at it)
dial-peer voice 5 pots
description ** T1 PRI pots dial-peer **
translation-profile outgoing internat
translate-outgoing called 10
no effect at all. funny thing is when i csim start the call from the router it goes out as called party type unknown and actually works! not sure why the difference in the type from an ip phone on the cme versus the actual router via a csim, but that might be a whole nother conversation out here.
This problem of yours helped me out. Is there any good documentation on translation rule syntax. I assume what yours is doing is changing type any to type unknown and plan any to plan unknown. What are the beginning // // Is that where to search in a string?
I think EPABX Calling Solutions will be beneficial for you on international calling. This feature allows your users to enjoy international business calling from any configured office desk phone with just their PINs. I have been using this feature from Reliance Global Call & also reducing our monthly bills.
