Interoperability between radvision and cisco gatekeepers

Can anyone make a recommendation on problems connecting through a Cisco 3510 running unit version 2.2.1.0, embedded gatekeeper 2.0.0.8.8 and a Radvision asNT - ECS Gatekeeper GK Ver. 2.0.2.2, GK Core Ver. 3.0.1.0, H.323 Stack ver. 3.0.9.6, MIB ver. 1.1.0.

I am unable to connect to the site with direct IP, he receives a message that the call needs to be routed through his gatekeeper. I can connect when using neighbor gatekeeper and e.164 addresses but I receive no video or audio from his site but yet he receives audio and video form me.

When he tries to connect to me the 3510 gatekeeper responds with this

New message recv <- Location Request from ip 207.63.101.170:17

19 querying 1236544201 [9100770] >

< GK: 0025:16:32 requested destination is zone prefixed. Stripping and checking

further [9100770] >

< GK: 0025:16:32 Rejecting transaction with reason 18 [9100771] >

< GK: 0025:16:32 clearing registration number 5 [9100771] >

The 1236544201 is the correct zone and e.164 address of my Polycom Viewstation sp. The call never connects. We have also tried connecting to a Pictel 900 and the gatekeeper gets a bit further and actually finds the unit and gives the correct unit name and e.164 but gives an error of no out of zone proxy and the call is never routed to the unit.

Both endpoint systems are running the latest software of 7.2 poly and 4.0.2 for PicTel on my end.

The same radvision site has not had these problems when connecting to a Cisco 3640 running IOS 12.2.8T3

Thanks,

Often times complex troubleshooting issues are best addressed in an interactive session with one of our trained technical assistance engineers. While other forum users may be able to help, it’s often difficult to do so for this type of issue.
