InterTel IP Phones

I have Intertel IP phones located across FR WAN. I am running 12.1 IOS on 3620's, and have 768 K BW. The voice quality is poor. I have both FR traffic shaping and IP priority set, but not sure if both need to be in place, or if there is a better method.

Thanks!

Could be anything from FECN/BECN or not enough CIR, buffer drops, cpu utilization, etc. You have a long list to look at.

From a design standpoint you should look at one DLCI for data with zero cir, another for voice with x cir for each concurrent call plus overhead for setup, etc.

Re: InterTel IP Phones

Thanks. The one DLCI for voice and one for data sounds interesting. So far, FECN/BECN at 0, CIR is supposed to be at 768, CPU utilization at 1%, 1%, 1%. Almost negligable dropped packets.
