Hi Everyone,
I was wondering what advantage would one have in selecting the IP Voice (S28NIPV) vs Advance IP Services (S28NAISK9). From looking at the specification, Advance IP Services add IDS features.
Are there any other functionality differences.
I am looking at installing a 2811 at one location with the following modules.
AIM-CUE, NM-HDA-4FXS, EM2-HDA-4FXO
This location will have about 30 phones.
Thanks.

Dominique,
IP Voice adds just voice features to an IP Base image. (IP Base image supports basic data services)
Advanced Security adds security features to IP Base.
SP services add ATM, VOATM, MPLS features to IP Voice image.
Advanced IP Services is a mix of features from Advanced Security image and SP Services image.
Bottom line is that you dont need Advanced Security if this router is going to be strictly a voice gateway (CME).
If you use it for data as well (connection to a wan) then you are asking for added security features, vpn features etc, which will require Advanced IP Services

Hi Dominique,
Just doing a quick check on Feature Navigator shows that the Advanced IP Services offers a lot more features than the IP Voice. It's a superset of the IP Voice feature set.
I've attached a spreadsheet with the additional features you get with Advanced IP Services (this is for 12.4(1))
Hope that helps - pls rate the post if it does.
