Re: IP IVR load balancing

There are a few methods you can use. One way to do it is within the Translation Route to VRU script node in ICM, since you will have a Translation Route for each IVR. There are 2 columns within this node that will help: Consider If and Select [Min or Max] Value.

The Consider If node can be used to check if the VRU in question is online or, more specifically, ready to accept calls. The data object to check here is "PeripheralStatus < 2", which indicates the IVR is not only Online, but also able to accept calls (since there is a distinct difference between those things).

The Select Min/Max field can be used with the "Service.CallsInProgress" value, for instance. Here you would want to "Select Min Value" to send the call to the least loaded IVR.

Re: IP IVR load balancing

Hi Bill,

Can you point me to some documentation that references the different values for the PeripheralStatus? I want to see how the different variables are treated - i.e. PeripheralStatus=1, PeripheralStatus<2, etc.

Thanks!
