IP Phone 2 lines

I am not able to see 2 lines in Cisco 7940. I am using CCM 4.1.3(sr2).It shows 1 Line and 1 Speed Dial. Is it possible that i can make 2 Lines in Cisco IP Phone 7940.

Hi Gautam,

You need to modify the existing "Phone button Template" or set up a new one that has 2 lines rather than 1 line and 1 Speed dial button. Have a look;

Modifying Phone Button Templates

You can make changes to the custom templates that you created, and you can change the label of the custom phone button template. You cannot change the function of the buttons in the default templates.

Use the following procedures to rename custom templates, to update custom templates to add or remove features, lines, or speed dials, and to delete templates that are no longer being used.

If you create a template for a phone (Cisco IP Phone model 7960), you can change the default template for that phone during auto-registration. See the "Updating Device Defaults" section.
