IP Phone Address Book Synchronizer Problems

Hi guys..

I installed the Sync application in order to sync my address book with the IP Phone. When I type my username and password in the password tab of the synchronizer tool and also the CCM IP Address and TCP Port 80 I received an error saying:

Unable to login (userid) with configured password.

I know that the userid and passwd are ok because I can log into the CCMUser web page with them. Is there anything else I need to do in order to get this tool to work.

I'm using CCM 3.3(3)sr4

Thanks in advanced,

Re: IP Phone Address Book Synchronizer Problems

Hi Jose ,

I have the same problem . I have opened a TAC case for the moment for this problem . Here is a sample of the answer :

"Hello Olivier,

Actually, TABSYNC will only synchronize Outlook when it is in "Internet Only" mode. This means if Outlook connects to an Exchange server it will not synchronize the addresses. Cisco does have another product that will synchronize the PAB if the user is using the Exchange server. That feature is bundled with the PA product. Otherwise, the user will have to export the addresses into the Microsoft Address Book for TABSYNC to synchronize to PAB.

PA 1.2 (Personal Assistant 1.2) and IP Phone Productivity Services provide the capability to synch with the exchange contact lists. "

I have tried also with an "internet mode" but it doesn't work . So when I have feedback , I will say it to you ...

Re: IP Phone Address Book Synchronizer Problems

I also had to add the ccm to the host file on the pc to get this to work. It may be something else to try.
