IP Phone 'Tannoy' Function?

I'm just wondering whether there's a tannoy type function that can be implemented with CCM and ip phones?

What we want to be able to do is have one user talk down there phone, and it is broadcast out of all the other phones' speakers. It would be used very occasionally for important messages eg to inform of a fire alarm test.

We are running 3.1(4b), a 2600 voice-gateway and have approx 35 handsets.

I do not think Cisco have a Tannoy function for Callmanager yet (I'm sure it is on the roadmap) however......

Berbee's InformaCast provides the capability to simultaneously send an

audio stream and a text message to multiple Cisco IP (7940 or 7960) phones.

This may be the product for you......

I'll check out the link you suggested. Let's hope this and other functions are added to CCM in the future.
