Ip Softphone 1.2 through VPN

I have a functional Vpn working via a cable modem. I can access the Call Manager , but I cannot get softphone to work. Any pointers?

Are you able to get the SoftPhone to work while not connected over VPN?

Also, if you go into the program, click the Settings button, click Audio, and check Network Audio Settings, which connection method is specified? In most VPN settings, it is best to use the "Automatic selection" which requires that the SoftPhone web installer be running somewhere across the VPN connection.

Also, what kind of VPN client are you using to connect to the network?
