Ip Telephony over VPN Possible?

I have implemented a couple scenarios with VOIP over a VPN and have been unsuccessful. Any suggestions on equipment, testing, etc

Re: Ip Telephony over VPN Possible?

Well, I personally don't trust the concept, because there is so much that can go wrong, and Cisco sort of implies that you should not use this for critical communications, but they have this document that describes what is available, they call it V3PN:

They also now discuss some of this in the QoS SRND:

Re: Ip Telephony over VPN Possible?

We use Checkpoint NG for the VPN connection and IP Communicator for the VoIP portion. Works great. OCYMMV. We are also using a AT&T (SBC) product called RLAN which using DSL makes the home location appear to be on the internal LAN. We've had a few hiccups implementating it, but it does seem to work.
