I work in a call center with 1000 nodes on a NT4.0 and IBM SNA mainframe network. We use Cisco switches and routers. What Cisco cert best fits designing a call center and are there a lot of jobs in this field? What about pay?
The CID exam (last exam in the serires of CCDP) will give u a better understanding of how IP networks can interop with IBM's SNA. As far as Telephony goes, understanding cisco's AVVID will supply you everything you need, but i don't recall seing a certification in that particular field (i could be wrong though). I also know that the cvoice exam which accounts for the CCNP+Voice specialisation provides u with some level of understanding of the technology behind merging data and voice traffic. My guess is that you might have to climb up to the Professional level to get what you are asking for. Also check out the CCIP line of certs.
