A customer asked me about installing an new internal redundant disk for the MCS-7825H-2.2-CC1 (it is a MCS 7825H-2266 Server With P4 2.266,1GB SDRAM, 40GB ATA ). I don't know if the box is fabric-ready to accept a second disk and how to do this. The Cisco web doesn't say anything about it. Any idea will be welcomed
The box is ready for it, you only need a Maxtor 40GB disc. The IDE cable is in place, also a free cabinet and spare screws can be found inside the box. The IDE RAID controller is integrated as well, the second disc will be detected automatically, then you can configure a RAID1 container and reformat the discs. The only thing is that you should install the windows tools to get the most out of it (not certified by Cisco). We have done it with one of our lab servers and had no problems with it.
