IPCC Upgrade from 3.5.2sr1 to 4.0.2- Recovery Failure

Callmanger and IPCC co-exist on a single server. CM is 4.1.3sr3a. During the Recovery step of the upgrade I get the following failure: TCP connection closed unexpectedly in BARS. BARS shows that there is ongoing activity and when I click "override" it fails the upgrade fails.

Take a look at the following post which states that it is necessary to run BARS from another machine in a co-resident upgrade.
