is ip phone hw corrupted?

Hi,

i have new problem :-)

It seems that IP Phone hardware is corrupted. Some times when i am pinging the phone, phone didnt sends response. It is sure that ethernet, cables, etc. is ok. Also when pings are ok, phone sometimes has very long delay when connecting to http server. Next oddity is, when phone response to pings and XML services are loaded correctly, when i am sending to phone pushObject. Phone opens socket, accepts data and didnt generate answer. So my c program waits on recv() function.

This behavior is not rule. Yesterday phone works bad but today everything is ok.

What is youre advice?

Thanks Bedla

Re: is ip phone hw corrupted?

The phone does not respond to every ping request to protect itself from denial-of-service attacks. If you ping the phone, you will get responses, but you will also get the occasional 'no response'..

A long delay in connecting to your http server? Sounds like a network issue... is something timing out? Have you checked and verified the DNS settings that your phone is using?

Re: is ip phone hw corrupted?

Thanks!

I am not using dns, every url is specificated by IP address. A long phone delay is when i opens a socket then sends http data and program hangs a while on recv function. After few minutes/seconds phone sometimes returns correct http response or returns nothing (0). Sometimes same phone works fine but with long delays.
