Is there a way to delay Unity greetings or prompts?

I know this sounds unusual but I seems like Unity may be too fast on my most recent implementation. If a user on a Cisco IP Phone hits the message key it seems like Unity starts playing the greeting or prompt before the IP Phone (I am using 7960/7940) speaker phone fully initializes. So it sounds like the very beginning of the greeting or prompt is cut off. Is there a way to delay the start in milliseconds? Unity Version 4.02

Hi there-

Just curious ... how recent are the CCM phone loads at this implementation? I know there are a few docs on Cisco's site regarding problems with one-way audio or no audio for the first 10 seconds when running the first release of the signed phone loads (CCM 3.3(3) SR1 and 3.2(3) SR 3). Not sure if this applies to you, but when I saw your post it was the first thing I thought to check - here is a link that may be helpful http://www.cisco.com/en/US/customer/products/sw/voicesw/ps556/products_field_notice09186a00801c96bd.shtml

Regards, Ginger

I am running P00306000100 which is the latest load for CallManager 3.3.3. This is also the latest for CallManager 4.03. Maybe I'll back up a version and try the load that comes with 3.3.3 SR4.

Hello -

We are running P00305000400 for both the 7960 and 7940's, but we are also running Unity 3.1(5) until tomorrow :-) We are also running CCM 3.3.(3) sr4 which we just installed this past Wednesday. One last thought, does this just occur with IP phones, or can you duplicate by external caller into Unity and press # for signin? That information might be helpful for TAC. I do specialize more on the server side than network, so further help from my side would need to bring in our network specialist to see your post.

Best wishes,

Ginger

You might want to verify that P00306000100 phone load is valid for CCM 3.3(3). It appears from the release notes and the Compatibility Matrix that it only supports CCM 4.0. There was problems with the P00305000101 load and audio problems.
