Issue with MGCP 2651xm & AT&T PRI Megacom

Hi ,

I have an issue with a T1 service whereby outbound calls fail with i.e missing.

The GW is a 2651xm running MGCP.

Inbound calls are ok. When making an outbound call on the Megacom At&t PRi 24 channel service.

I see

NY-Vg02-T1#

Mar 9 21:43:17.421: ISDN Se1/0:23 Q931: TX -> SETUP pd = 8 callref = 0x0007

Bearer Capability i = 0x8090A2

Standard = CCITT

Transfer Capability = Speech

Transfer Mode = Circuit

Transfer Rate = 64 kbit/s

Channel ID i = 0xA98397

Exclusive, Channel 23

Progress Ind i = 0x8083 - Origination address is non-ISDN

Calling Party Number i = 0x1181, '8208'

Plan:ISDN, Type:International

Called Party Number i = 0x91, '011blahblah'

Plan:ISDN, Type:International

Mar 9 21:43:17.465: ISDN Se1/0:23 Q931: RX <- RELEASE_COMP pd = 8 callref = 0x

8007

Cause i = 0x83E020 - Mandatory information element missing

Not quite sure if the AT&T 4ess switch requires some specific IE when we use this megacom service and if it does where to set it

If I change the information to say ACCUNET switched digital service on the route pattern I get this --> Service/option not available, unspecified

Bearer Capability i = 0x8090A2

Transfer Rate = 64 kbit/s

Channel ID i = 0xA98397

Exclusive, Channel 23

Progress Ind i = 0x8083 - Origination address is non-ISDN

Net Specific Fac i = 0x00E6

Calling Party Number i = 0x1181, '8208'

Any 1 have a solution to this issue ...

Thanks regards

Allan

Re: Issue with MGCP 2651xm & AT&T PRI Megacom

If you are using this with CallManager, you will need to setup up the ISDN Network-Specific Facilities Information Element at the bottom of the route pattern you are going out of. It is near the bottom of this link.

As already mentioned and displayed in my first post I tried all options on the route p[oint without success.

Thanks Anyway

Allan, have you tried setting any CIC's on your NSF settings ?

Re: Issue with MGCP 2651xm & AT&T PRI Megacom

Adding to Steve's post, in the RP config page, selecting the switch type as 4ESS or 5E9 gives you the option for specifying Megacom telcom service.
