I would like to know if it is planned to support Speech recognition in the IVR server for applying the value to steps like "Parse Input step" or "Name To Address".
For example, a user calls and the IVR has to collect some digits spelled by the user, then we store that digits in a DB or we make a query with them. Even better could be that the user say a word out of two or three posibilities and we can store that selection in a database.
I heard last year that this feature was targeted for 2001 but I can't find any references in CCO.
I believe ASR capability in the CRA engine is still planned for a future release, although I can't say which release and when it will be available, because I don't know. If you contact your account rep, then they can contact the appropriate people in technical marketing for this product, and perhaps give you some idea of timeframe.
