LDAP query of global directory?

Is it possible to do an LDAP query of the global directory? The customer has got a new application which can query an LDAP server but they're saying CallManager isn't a true LDAP source - is this true?

If it is possible, does anyone know the search string?

TIA, Stu

Re: LDAP query of global directory?

It is possible to query a different directory by creating your own script and, if necessary, replacing "URL Directories", in CMAdmin -> System -> Enterprise Parameters, with the URL for your own script.

you can use any sort of scripting language to query an LDAP server. PHP, Perl, WMI, etc. all you need to know is the objects that you want to access. the rest would be pretty straight forward. what are you trying to do? query phone numbers out of a LDAP dir?

ARC solutions can apparently looked up Microsoft AD, but not DCD.

Re: LDAP query of global directory?

The Arc system can synchronise "online" with AD, there is also a DCD import facility, but this needs to be manually run - it is not online.

Syntax is very similar.
