I was able to go back to the 4 port key. Quite likely I did something wrong, where can I find instructions for successfully upgrading the license? I looked in the docs on the cd and regarding license upgrades the helpful info "For information about adding licenses or features to the system
key, contact your Unity dealer." was all I found.

There should be a .TXT file with the upgrade code that can be scanned from the Upgrade License utility. If there are problems with what seems to be a valid license upgrade, open a case with TAC.
