Line State Server

Hello all

I'm currently developing different applications based on TAPI which work together with the callmanager infrastructure. Can anybody tell me how I can create an application which can monitor line states. A bit like what the webattendant does. Webattendant is using something which is called "Line State Server". It is build up of 2 components. one is a server side line state server service on the callmanager. The other is a client side application running in the background of the webattendant user.

I want to be able to check in my applications the state of a line. Can I use the Line State Server for this ? If yes, is it documented ? and if so, where can I find this information

If I can not use the line state server, how should I do this then ?

I really need an solution for this very urgently.

I asked it several times to cisco engineers, but nobody really wants to comment on this.

Any sugestions would be welcome.

Thanks

Re: Line State Server

You can do this via the TAPI SDK or the JTAPI SDK. Be advised however that each line being monitored consumes server CTI resources.

Re: Line State Server

I was told by Cisco that you can not monitor a CTI port with TAPI in CCM 3.1
