location in ccm

I have 3 remote sites and 1 HQ.HQ has the CCM.

Here is location name with the bandwidth I created

remote1 256

remote2 256

remote3 256

HQ 0

Is 0 the correct bandwidth to assign to HQ location?I have seen a cisco document that says 0 means unlimited. Just want to confirm with you guys.

Thanks

Re: location in ccm

Yes 0 means unlimited, or you could put in a silly high figure like 100000 (100 Mbps) to put your mind at rest.

Re: location in ccm

While 0 will work, this is technically not what CM thinks is happening.

CallManager considers the location the central site, and all other locations that you create remote sites.

So by specifying HQ, you are telling CM that a call from remote1 to HQ will traverse 2 wan links, and will deduct the bandwidth accordingly.

Recommended configuration is to put all devices that are at the central site in the location.
