Lock / Unlock Cisco 7940 Phones

Im looking for an application that would allow you to "lock/unlock" phones.

Would it be possible to use the "screensaver" functionality to lock out the phone until a user would enter their password?

This is a simple feature but doesnt appear to be available.

Hi Stephen,

I dont think that is possible to have a "screensaver" that is displayed until the user unlock the phone. It is possible to lock/unlock with a password, but without a "screensaver" linked.

I never tried it, but I would look into possibly using the IDLE URL feature to point to some kind of xml doc and then do the lock/unlock functions from there.....

I would need some 'service ' which would allow the users to lock/unlock theirs phone. You wrote that this is possible. Any hint how to do that?
