Longer delay when dialing out in CME

I am using CME 3.3 with PRI. When I dial outside number it takes 8-10 seconds to dial. Is there any configuration to dial right away?

what you are probably experiencing is the Interdigit Timeout.

this is default set to 10 seconds so CCM will wait 10 seconds after last digit entered before it attempts to connect.

you can set the Interdigit Timeout to a lesser value increasing the connect time on calls.

use the following commands:

R# (config) telephony-service

R# (config-telephony-service) timeout interdigit 5

this will set the IDT to 5 seconds which should cut your connect time in half after the digits are dialed.
