Low volume on IP Phones

Hello,

My users are complaining that the volume on their IP phones is too low. I'm getting conflicting messages from Cisco: some documentation say increase the input gain, some say increase the output attenuation on the voice gateway. I'm thinking that you'd need to increase the input gain to increase the volume coming from the PSTN, but I'm not 100% sure. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I thought so too. Thank you very much.

Re: Low volume on IP Phones

I understand you have to increase the input gain, but do you have to do that on the FXS port or the FXO port?

On the FXS port.
