I'd like to decrease the number of max jitter on 7960. I tried to tune buffers,but it was the same.

If i place the call from one ip phone to other ip phone and i am on the same switch 3524PWR i see max jitter about 26. This is the number i want decrease.

A Max Jitter of 26 is not that bad. The average jitter is what is important.

I have used 7960s to talk of the internet for hours with no QOS and the max jitter will get into the 800s and 900s and I still can't hear the jitter. It will only introduce latencty while the phone is compensating for both the jitter and packet loss.

Read the QOS design guide that is available on CCO if you have not done so.
