Is there a way to configure the MCS-7835 in such way that the F1-key does not need to be pressed each time a restart is ordered?
I've looked in the bios config but could not find a way to disble the F1-key during restart/boot.

You need to upgrade the BIOS on the MCS-7835.
We are running the BIOS labelled "7835-BIOS-04-02-01.exe" and do not have to press F1 during the boot up process.

Why is it asking you to press f1? Do you know have both power supplies pulled in? If this is a lab then you can go into the BIOS and turn the off. You have to go to the advanced options and then it is near the bottom. I don't remember the exact key sequence it has been a while. If you can't figure it out I will go in the lab and see what it is. If this is production system plug in the other power supply.
Hope this helps,

Indeed this is a lab system and the second power supply is not plugged in.
I'll have a look in the BIOS to disable it and see if the restart works.
Thanks for the help.

That sounds good to me. Did you find the place in the BIOS to turn it off?
Thank you,
