message before getting to the switchboard

Hi,

any idea how to do that?

When somebody external calls I want to play a custom text before the switchboard answers.

I was thinking of achieving that with AutoAttendant but I don't want to have a menu.

Do you have Unity?

I've used Unity to not only play a message before transfering the call but also as a way to do time of day call routing. Basically you have the call go to a CTI port or phone that is forwarded to a Unity Call Handler. After the Greeting do a transfer to the Call Handler using the same call handler. Under the transfer section you can do an unsupervised transfer to the switchboard. You can even use the same extentions if you want to play with partitions and search spaces.

thanks for that information. Is there any way around to avoid Unity? I don't want to buy Unity just for that...
