Message notification codec usage?

When Unity performs a message notification to a pager or phone how does it determine whether to use G711 or G729? Is this based on the CM config or the gateway or Unity? <br><br>

It uses the codec specified in the gateway. The CallManager regions have to be set up to allow the specified codec to go through. If you set the gateway to use G.729 then G.729 has to be enabled on the Unity server.
