This is the ISM at work (Identified Subscirber Messaging). When subscriber B calls A in this scenario, we note the fact that the calling number is subscriber B. Even though they terminate their involvement and subscriber C is then connected, Bs extension is still the one used. Currently we will always leave the message from the calling part if that extension number corresponds to a subscribers ID.
Subscriber C can log in when they hear subscriber As greeting and the first thing theyll hear is an option to leave a message for A, but most folks arent going to do that
theyre just going to listen to the greeting a leave a message.
ISM is handy in most cases but in this scenario its very annoying. Unfortunately theres not much we can do here at the moment. I believe 3.0(1) has on deck an option for disabling ISM system wide to prevent this type of issue, but currently theres no way to disable this in 2.4.x.
