MGCP BRI Gateway - ISDN Problem

SHOW ISDN STATUS:

ISDN returned to a TEI_ASSIGNED state.

In order, the following mechanisms were tried to restore service:

Reset the router through CallManager

Shut/No shut the BRI interfaces

No MGCP/MGCP on the router to restart MGCP

Confirmed the telco had no alarm state

Finally, to restore the ISDN operation the router was rebooted. This fixed the problem.

The capture of the ISDN Q921 is below.

*Mar 27 02:30:49.900: ISDN BR0/1/0 Q921: User RX <- SABMEp sapi=0 tei=0

*Mar 27 02:30:49.900: ISDN BR0/1/0 Q921: S4_SABME: BACKHAULED & vsc_wants_L2_up

= FALSE

*Mar 27 02:30:50.900: ISDN BR0/1/0 Q921: User RX <- SABMEp sapi=0 tei=0

*Mar 27 02:30:50.900: ISDN BR0/1/0 Q921: S4_SABME: BACKHAULED & vsc_wants_L2_up

I had a similar issue last week. 12.4.6T. Same fix, reboot. I spent a hour with TAC, my case engineer wasn't very strong and I grew frustrated and rebooted the router and it worked.
