MGCP controlled PRI gateway will not work with T.38 enabled

We have a customer that needs to enable T.38 on their MGCP controlled gateway with PRI.  When we enable T.38 with the following commands, the PRI starts acting very strange.  For example a single inbound call will show up as about 10 attempted calls in q931 debugs, and no calls can go through until we remove the T.38 commands.

Router(config)# no mgcp fax t38 inhibit
Router(config)# mgcp package-capability fxr-package
Router(config)# mgcp default-package fxr-package

Any ideas?

Hi,

Can you check if your IOS and running config is not suspect to the following bug

https://tools.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCta55752

MGCP gateway unable to interpet SDP format when T.38 "and" V150 present

If yes, try upgrading to an IOS with the fix.
