Microsoft Outllook dialer and Callmanager

I have installed Cisco TCP4.1 on my Desktop XP PC. When I go to an Outlook contact and choose "call contact" and "dialing options" the drop down list does not contain my Cisco IP Phone. Our Call Manager is running 4.1.3sr3. I have the correct user name and password from the CallManager and that user is associated with this IP Phone. What gives

Make sure the "Enable CTI Application Use" checkbox is checked for the user.

Not sure I was clear on my last reply. The CTI boxed was already checked. That did not solve the issue.

thanks

Re: Microsoft Outllook dialer and Callmanager

Make sure that you have downloaded the latest TSP to match your CCM version from the plugins page, that you have entered the proper computer name or IP address on the CTI Manager tab and that the CTI manager service is running on CCM.

Re: Microsoft Outllook dialer and Callmanager

Follow the following steps from C:\Program Files\Cisco - ciscotsp.txt file. The directions might be a little different for you as I have CCM3.3(3), but if the following steps don't do the trick for you then follow the steps appropriately from "ciscotsp.txt" file from above location.

For Windows XP:

From Control Panel execute the "Add Hardware" utility. Click the

"Next" button. Select "Yes, I have already connected the hardware"

Radio button. Click Next. Select "Add a new Hardware device" from the list.

Click the "Next" button. Select "Install the hardware that I manually

select from a list" radio button. Click the "Next" button. Select

"Sound, video and game controller" when prompted for hardware type.

Click the "Next" button. Click the "Have Disk" button when prompted

to "Select a Device Driver". Click the "Browse" button on the

"Install from Disk" window. Browse to

C:\Program Files\Cisco\Wave Drivers and select the file "OEMSETUP".

Click "Open" to install the Cisco Wave Driver and select OK.

Highlight the "Cisco TAPI Wave Driver" in Select a Device Driver window

and select 'Next'. Select 'Next' in "Start Hardware Installation" window.

If Prompted for "Digital signature Not Found" click on "Continue Anyway"

button.

When prompted for "Install from disk 1" for file avaudio32.dll, choose

Browse button and select path "C:\Program Files\Cisco\Wave Drivers"

and click Open to install the avaudio32.dll.

When prompted to reboot your machine, do so.

Re: Microsoft Outllook dialer and Callmanager

The information isn't in any cisco docs. Had to figure out myself.

Would you mind rating my previous post if it helped you?

Thanks,
