Migrate Subscriber Data tool

Hi,

Our customer have Unity 3.1.5 with VM created in seperate Exchange 2000 server. They have created seperate user account & mailbox for VM users. Now they would like to move from VM to UM.Is there any tool tool to move even the voicemails to there e-mail mailbox. As per my knowledge Migrate Subscriber Data tool tool only merges the user account details & mail box details from VM user account to UM(E-mail user account & mail box). What about existing voice messages in the voice mail box.Should we manually move it to personal folder using old VM user account & than move to UM Mailbox or is there any other way.Should we do this for each individual user mail box?

Re: Migrate Subscriber Data tool

DiRT is the only tool that Cisco has which will backup messages. If you are moving the entire server at one time you can use the DiRT tool assuming that you don't have a horrific about of mail.

If you not moving the entire server at once you might want to refer to this Microsoft URL:

Re: Migrate Subscriber Data tool

Hi Keith,

Currently the e-mail mailbox & voice mailbox are on the same Exch 2000 server but attached to different user account.Do you suggest to

attach the Unity subscriber account to the e-mail user & mail box using Migrate Subscriber Data tool & than using ExMerge.exe to create .pst for each account & open it using personal folder.Plan is to move 50Usr VM to UM.

Re: Migrate Subscriber Data tool

Actually, the latest Migrate Subscriber Data tool has the ExMerge step built into it - you can move the subscriber data AND their messages (copy actually, it doesn't delete the messages in the original mailbox) in one step. Check out the home page (including a little training video) on it here:
