In order to leverage our investment in IP technology to its fullest, it is necessary to upgrade the phone system to the latest release of the Cisco call manager and Unity software. Version 3.0 of Unity voice messaging supports exchange 2000. Our current version of Unity does not exchange 2000. We are not however migrated to Exchange 2000. I wonder if this will have any negative/positive impact in our plan to upgrade to unity 3.x from 2.x. What is the best strategy based on experience, should the upgrades remain mutually exclusive, or should they be rolled into a total seamless project. Also, what other questions need to be address regarding the upgrade, i.e. current hardware compatibility etc. etc. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
