Missing live session flag

I have found several posts about this issue, but nothing helped me...

When I access saweb from a Client (W2K SP3, IE 6.0.2800) I get the following error message:

Missing live session flag.

For some reason, /web/global.asa did not fire.

Check that this file is present.

This problem could also be related to DNS issues.

Cannot continue.

My first connections did work, but now, I am not able to connect again, above error message all the time. Access on the Unity Server works well.

Some details:

Hostname Unity: UNITY01

Unity Version: 4.0(2)

Platform: ICS7750 OS Image 2.2, Upgrade 2.4 and SR1

I have checked DNS and hostname resolution as well, but I have no idea what I had to check on DNS server especially.

Thanks for any response.

Re: Missing live session flag

Hi Mike -

Not sure if this is your problem, but we had several incidents where we received the same error message as you when our customers clicked on their saved links in IE Favorites. When we had the client delete/recreate the hyperlink using address: \\unityserver\web\aa, the problem disappeared. Some of our clients are running IE 6.0, while others are at 5.5 SP2.

Sincerely, Ginger
