Modifying the caller's name

I would like to create a service that would examine incoming calls and fill the caller's name, so that it would be displayed on the Call plane of the target phone. I can use the <CiscoIPPhoneExecute> along with the <CiscoIPPhoneText> XML object, it is useful for detailed information about the caller, but I want the caller's name in the default Call plane and in the built-in Missed calls directory as the internal names are.

I created a TAPI application that captures new incoming calls on open line devices, but I'm unable to change the calling party name, I did not find any "set" function, such information can be set only when creating a new call ...

If I configured a CTI Routepoint as mentioned in, would I be able to modify the caller's name before routing the call to a phone?

Does anybody know how to handle this?? Is it even possible? We use the Cisco CallManager 4.1(2).

A link to another relevant conversation would be enough.

Thanking you in anticipation
